Product Details
Sawasdee Kab welcome to the December edition of the Retire in Thailand
magazine. The digital online magazine for the young at heart who are looking for a
lot more in retirement than their own countries are offering. This month's edition is
full of interesting articles including, the best towns in Thailand to retire, which this
month is where I now call home…Hua Hin. The alternative retirement destination
for this month is the beautiful though the country has a tragic history…Vietnam.
Other articles include:
 How to celebrate Christmas in Thailand
 Christmas in Hua Hin
 What became of the beach town of Khao Lak after the devastating 2004
tsunami?
 How to get a Thai driving license?
 The best places to celebrate a traditional or not-so-traditional Christmas in
Thailand
 December is also Father’s Day in Thailand and unlike Christmas here it is a
public holiday and is in honour of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej (King
9)
 The book of the month is The Deptford Mak Murders. In 1905 a crime took
place in London that would change the way that police forces around the
world would identify criminal suspects, the Deptford Mask Murders.
On the 27th of March 1905, Thomas Farrow was found beaten to death in an
oil and paint shop he managed in Deptford. Ann Farrow, Thomas’s wife was
also badly beaten and succumbed to her injuries and died in hospital one
week later. This was the crime that the Scotland Yard Fingerprint Bureau
had been waiting for since the bureau was formed in 1901, a high-profile
crime that would put the spotlight on the science of fingerprinting as a
reliable, efficient and infallible system of identifying criminals. A week after
the crime was committed; Brothers Alfred and Albert Stratton were arrested
and were later put on trial at the Old Bailey accused of willful murder.
 The Thai music of the month is by Janine Weigel…Christmas is the Time to
Love
 The Thai recipe of the month is Red Chicken Curry or Kaeng Ki Daeng Thiy
There is loads of other information in the magazine such as the different visas to
enter Thailand, The average weather for December in Thailand, Holidays and
celebrations in Thailand in December, and a chart with the best times of the year to
visit. Thailand, currency rates for the previous month, two expat interviews, one an
expat who has already retired here and the other one a man who's planning on

retiring here in the future and much much more.

So, in these crazy days in the Western world if you're thinking of retiring to
Thailand, buy a copy of the Retire in Thailand magazine and see what Thailand has
to offer compared to your country.
The magazines from previous months are also on sale on the website with lots of
information about living and retiring in Thailand and you will also find all of my
books in e-format some of them at discounted prices and all of them are a great
read. If you would prefer paperback books go to my Amazon bookshelf and you

So, take care safe travels and have a happy retirement wherever you decide to
spend it
